Originally from Zimbabwe, God called Sam Mhlanga to the Gospel ministry while he was at college pursuing a degree in business.  He later attended seminary, and after graduating served as pastor to four churches in Mutare, Zimbabwe.  Sam continued his education, earning his Masters of Divinity and Masters of Theology.  He has also Masters in Educational Administration, Policy Studies and Planning. He has served as a professor at a Bible College, and in various roles within the United Baptist Church denomination.  Sam also planted a church in East London in 2005.

The Mhlanga family moved to the United States in 2008, where Sam studied for his Doctorate at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lousiville, KY.  In 2016 God called Sam and his family to move yet again, to the Seattle area to plant Bread of Life International Fellowship (BOLIF).
